i have a sti spartan in .45. i want to purchase a .22 conversion kit for it. there is the sti version with plastic mag or the tac sol version with aluminum mag for 100-150 more. is one more accurate or better built than the other? also , i cant seem to find the cost of replacement mags. thanks for any info.

I have a Trojan 9 mm and I recently purchased an STI 22 conversion kit. It came with a black aluminium mag. Is the latest kit made for STI through tac-sol? In the past they were made by AA and Marvel. How can you tell them apart? Sorry dont have any info on accuracy or quality comparison. However, I was told by the dealer that the STI mags ran close to $100. Any recommendations on alternatives that won't hurt my wallet so much?

I tried one on my STI conversion kit made by Marvel with a Spartan frame. It worked well. The only drawback was that it did not hold the slide open after the last shot. It is available at High Caliber Services Corp in Mission, BC. The website is hical.ca. Price is a lot more reasonable.

wow - $29 for a 1911 22 caliber conversion magazine. Think the best I've seen so far is $79 but that's from the states. Be a lot more to get it shipped up here. This one is the plastic one though. I don't think it will lock the slide open when empty and I wonder how durable it will be. Anyone have any experience with them?

Has anyone tried the tac sol mags with the STI kit? On the tac sol site, they are much cheaper than the sti ones and look exactly the same. Aluminium billet black. Granted, that's a US site. Does anyone carry tac sol in BC?

if its the new sti kit, then its the exact same kit, so if you can find tac-sol mags, fill your boots

ive heard kimber mags work with the tac sol kits so im going to grab one of those to try. as awesome as the machined aluminum mags are, i need 5 and $500 is to much for mags

gsg mags dont work
