I have a old .22 cooey single shot rimfire that my late grandfather gave me when I first started hunting 10 years ago

I would like to replace the regular rear sight with a peep sight that looks like the williams peep, and not the disk style with a very small opening

I did some research online and didnt find anything

Is there any easy way to do this ?

thanks

peep sight

you would have to pick up a Williams and get a gunsmith to mount it. the cooeys never came with the rear tapped holes like the mossbergs and winchester 94s. Bobs Gun Shop sells the peeps.

Hi there!

I guess, the first question is: What model of Cooey do you have? Or, can you post a picture of the receiver of your rifle? There are a number of peep sights out there that might work, but the majority of them will require you to drill and tap the receiver.

On the other hand, you will also need to know the height of your front ramp as this will determine the height of your rear sight.

Depending upon the stock, you might even be able to install a Tang Sight. That might look a little funny, but I've done it and it worked.

Hope this helps...

I have a model 750 with a Williams peep sight. The front has a dovetail mounted globe. I'm sure a gunsmith did the work. The receiver was drilled and tapped to accept the rear sight.
