.22 Factory Spare Magazines

So I just orded a Savage Mark II GL (left hand) for $190.00 The rifle comes with 1-10 round magazine. I'm wondering if I should buy a few extra 10 round factory's or are there better replacement mags for this rifle made by a different source. Takes the same mags as the standard G (right hand) model uses.

If it works the same for Savage rifles, I see the steel lipped ones being recommended. someone here probably knows which one's are steel lipped.

The steel mags for the gun can be gotten from Savage Arms directly or thru Cabela's (SIR).. they are the same as the Mark II and Mark III Lakefields. I interchange these mags even to the Stevens 300 .22 my son has. I carry 5 loaded mags with me when in the gopher fields.

Do the savages come with plasic mags or metal...all the listings I've seen are for BLUE or Stainless so I'm thinking no which is a GOOD thing to me. I also found that WSS listing for them is the cheapest by about 5 bucks so far. Haven't checked out RUSSELLS yet.

the only ones i found are steel ones from WSS,carry about 5 at all times-no time to be loading when the gophers are running carefree around in front of you...
