.22 flyers?

thanks. one rifle was a target 10/22 the other a savage heavy barrel bolt! the 4inch shot away from main group only happed once but there multiple flyers that were questionable because rifles were shot from bench with sand bags on both ends so nice and stable shots but cant figure out why weird groups? scopes are not the cheapest scope either with parallax adj too. shot some federal gold medal stuff as well a little better but not much. I am loosing confidence in todays rimfire ammo.

I heard years ago that your not supposed to shoot high velocity ammo like stingers out of the Ruger 10/22 target rifles because they have a match chamber. and the other thing that could have happened is you were just having a bad day. it happens to all of us. I've been out shooting and just ended up going home after a few more rounds. it just wasn't going my way. try again and see if your shooting improves. they are both good rifles. I'm sure you'll do better next time. oya make sure you have cleaned all the oil out of the barrels.

Thanks cement head. I don’t shoot cci stingers out of it. Barrels were clean too. I don’t blame myself because I know I can shoot. Will try other match ammo threw it to see if any different.
