22 handgun no fun, but my cz455?

Just a plug for the cz rifle, as if it needs more. I zeroed my rifle with a leupold vx freedom 3-9 at 50 yards yesterday. I was using splatter targets and it was raining heavily yesterday so no pics, but I was grouping shots at about 1/2", first time shooting any rifle in about 21 years... This shows me that pistol shooting is great for rifle training because if you pull that trigger badly in a pistol, it is much less forgiving so you really have to learn to pull it well.

The rifle is awesome though. And the scope has very nice glass. Was going to go shoot it at 100 yards but I also had a new shotgun to play with and I wanted to shoot some steel with my handgun.

CZs are prett accurate that’s for sure

I just bought a vx3 off the EE last night.
It’s going on my 452. Well maybe it may go on the cz527
And that scope on the 452. Not sure yet

I have the same scope on my CZ 452 American (shorty) and quite like it. Wasn't sure I would (reticle is a bit busy) but it's been great so far.

3-9 is the minimum i'd put on it personally. I had originally been thinking of going bigger but decided against it since it's just a rimfire rifle. Given its performance, I'm eager to go back and shoot it at 100yds. I change the triggers on most guns I buy but the trigger on this is quite nice. There's very little take-up before hitting the wall. Very little creep. It breaks cleanly.

All in all it's a high quality gun, great scope for my purposes, and I'm happy that I finally got to shoot it.

I agree on the 455's. I have 9 of them - so far, all different. Took a new "Bushman Special" along on a gopher shoot. I also have a 452 FS .22 and a 513 "Farmer" in .22.

I may consider getting one with a heavy barrel and thumbhole stock at some point. Not sure how much was me not having shot a rifle since i was a kid, but my wrist was getting uncomfortable after a well. The angle seems a bit off for me. I also felt I had a bit of trouble getting a consistent cheek weld but I'm not blaming the rifle for that.

That said, I put 200 rounds through it (switched to shotgun halfway) and was shooting tight groups the whole time. Not one flier the whole time shooting minimags.

452 training rifle with beech stock and adjustable front sights is where it's at for training with iron sights. I have only ever shot it at 100m but it is very accurate. My only issues with it is what looks like some vertical stringing but is actually more likely small deviations in elevation as I just shoot off a bag of rice/kitty litter... could also be the variances in powder etc in the cheap ammo I put through it. I keep a scope instead on a Norinco JW25a k98 trainer that shoots 1/2 inch groups with decent ammo. The Norinco shoots so well I see no reason to even try a scope on the CZ
