22 Hornet to K-Hornet

Blue Mountain Sports has the reamer in New Brunswick,1-506-468-2919.
Obviously any gunsmith with the reamer should be able to do the job for you.
$75.00 and up depending on the action type.

K-Hornet

I had one done by a gunsmith in Kamloops B.C. Works just fine. I like the idea of not needing other brass to make the new ones from. The regular Hornet brass forms up to the K brass so easy. I don't think I lost a single case in the forming process. Cost was 150.00. He is a busy man but if you want I can check and see if he wants to do another one. (he is the builder of 1000 yard guns)
Carry on!

Yes please, if you could PM the contact info. It's for a T/C contender so it should be fairly simple since I can just send the barrel. The regular hornet cartridge chamber is to hard on brass

You've seen a Hornet shell, right? Well the K-Hornet is the same thing, just with a sharp shoulder and straight sides instead of tapering like it is. This yields slightly more powder capacity, and more positive headspacing in the chamber - should be slightly more powerful, and may be more accurate depending on the gun.

be aware that some guns ,sometimes when rechambered to k hornet, don't feed from the magazine as well as the hornet does. I have seen a 340 sav. in k hornet that would not feed reliably. I have seen a few old 465 brnos that fed very well, as well as one of the Ruger bolt action .22 hornets when rechambered.
