.22 JW15 hiker(13"barrel) first impression(with pics) Now with range report pg2

Looking at this picture you will need a very tall front sight if you want to use the dovetail.....as in too tall and not available would be my guess.

A better option might be to cut a dovetail slot in the ramp where the fixed blade is and then use a standard dovetail front sight that is too your taste...

That's a good idea.
I think there are ramps available that mount into dovetails and have dovetails for interchangable front sight heights, but maybe I should just invest in a dovetail tool so I can do it myself.

Not related to the sights~do you have any longs you could put through your gun, and confirm for me that the mag feeds them well? I plan on getting one when/if CA starts selling them, but only if I know I can use CB longs through it.

Thanks,
Rob

Thought I'd revive the thread for people who've been looking for a review.
Also made the title a little clearer.

By the way I just ordered a couple of mags from DAK sports, a 5rd polymer and a 10rd polymer one. They cost about half of what Cabela's wants for a 10rd CZ mag.

Heres the link to the mags

Nope I haven't shot any animals with it yet, I tend to use my 20gg for hunting. I'm guessin it'll be a Magpie that drops first.

Thanks, diananike.

Pulled the trigger on Norc this morning. I guess I'll have it on my hands in a week or so. I'm very curious on what kind of accuracy I can get from this gun. I plan to put a BSA 2.5X deer hunter that I already have as optics since it very small but the peep sight option is still very much open. It will depend on what I stumble upon. If it shoots CCI standard vel, CCI CB short or long, and Aguila SSSS accurately, I'm a happy man.
