Hey all just came back from a nice trip to the range well due it's been a while.
I have ran across about a dozen or two of what I believe to be .22 Longs .I think this because I know that there are a least 30 years old and when put up with a shot and long rifle there are in the middle . Now that being said I had to try at least one out to see if they would still shoot and glad to say they do . I will try and get a picture soon and on the back of the case there is an "I" from what I think it's the old Imperial mark ?. The question Is there much of a market for these because I may be able to get lots more does anyone know what prices I could expect:ar15: selling theses ? .

With .22 being so common I can't see much call for this as collector ammo. Now if you had it still in the old original cardboard boxes that might be a different scenario. Often the boxes are collectible in their own right.

I don't know about Imperial, but CCI still makes .22 longs. A friend of mine bought a box by mistake and was puzzled about why his Ruger MKIII was functioning so poorly until we looked closely at the ammo box. They were more expensive than the more common (and useful) .22 LR. I think it was something like $12/100.

Longs can be used in most bolt guns, especially the older ones, but why bother.
