One ate two of our lambs this spring. Took the first one out of the pasture, the second from inside the pen. I lost about a weeks worth of sleep, CO's eventually got it with their dogs.
There are a few around for sure.
Some talk of wolves in the high country, not been seen down low yet.
WRT my previous, I am rethinking. Still think some livelier ammo is worth a try, if not for the velocity (which will indeed be shed off before it's arrival downrange), for the rotational speed, which may give you the stability. Same twist rate at higher vel, should equal a higher rotational speed, no?
Was it Hatcher that shot the .30 cal up into the sky from the boat, and had the bullets land, base first, still spinning?
In any case, I would be trying some different ammo. But if you ever need a new home fer that Martini...
Looks like I may be in AB next week. Dunno what my schedule will look like.
