I have owned, or have friends who own almost everything reccomended here so far, and IMHO there isn't a better .22 semi that doesn't look like a space gun than the CZ Kadet.
It is very pricey however, and after trying and buying many others I have settled on the Smith & Wesson MP 22!
I wrote a review of it awhile back, and if you go to my profile and search my recent threads you will find it.
Essentially I put 1000 rounds through it without cleaning and it ran almost flawlessly. Aside from my Ruger MKIII I haven't had any other .22's perform like that.
Revolvers in .22 lr are reliable for a time, but need to be cleaned regularily even at the range as the cylinders get gummed up with crap with cheap ammo.
After everything, I would not sell that MP 22, and the only other .22 handgun I would consider is a Single Six, or SP101.
I just hate the spacegun look of most .22's. Makes me think of star wars, and I just can't fall in love with em.
