22 LR Handguns opinions/experience?

I know it has been said already but I really like my GSG 1911. In my hands, at least, it feels very similar to an "actual" 1911 (perhaps closer to one of the more compact models of 1911) and shoots very nicely. If you like 1911s you'll probably like the GSG.
 
congrats but you're going to need more mags! Since you're located in BC check out Armco-guns for mags and maybe a SS guide-rod.
If you need sights try Dlask. I removed my mag dis-connect on my Sig and much happier.
 
I'm getting my first gun very soon and I'm trying to decide between the S&W 617 or the Taurus Tracker 992...the Ruger SP101 is a close third too actually...

Don't forget now the Swiss made Hammerlis. :)

Walnut & blued steel along with high quality, ceased about 1989 IMHO.

Now you get plastic, aluminum, & broken parts around 1000 rounds. The Rink grips are the only thing of worth on these really ghey red, blue & silver handguns. (UMAREX sh@t!)

I've changed my Glock #22 40 S&W 1st gen for a ISSC M22, just for the inexpensive ammo and a under rail. I've no regrets, when you find the right ammo for the M22 it is a good gun and reliable enough for a 22lr. I have shooted around 3000 rounds in it, and all it needs is cleaning every 1000's. I like the Glock style, grip and i'm able to use my glock holster. I absolutely recommend it.

I've purchased my GSG 1911, so I'm waiting for the paperwork to bring it home, so i'll be able to give an opinion for the GSG, but all i've read about reliability was good. Only the painting seems to be a bit easy to scratch...

Now the only other 22 handgun that I will need is a revolver. I'll search for a stainless one, with two cylinders for WRM and LR, and i'll have all the cool styles!

Also, they are not pretty but every Mark II that I heard of was trouble free and accurate.

But if you can find a Beretta 89, it is very similar, but quality wise puts the 87 to shame.

BTW, that is pretty much my list (with a few additions), and with the Beretta 89, but I'm still looking for a nice Medalist with all the weights, case, etc.
