I was just wondering where i could get a AR 15 but in a 22 LR. A friend of mine had seen a few of them at a gun show for sale and they where non restricted but i just cant seem to find them. Now i know you can get the kit to convert the AR15 action into a 22 LR but if you do this not only are you spending almost $2000.00 to have a 22 but it will still be resticted, and at the gun show they were going for around 200.00 to 300.00. Any help would be great.

Thanks C

You can get the conversion kit for 2-300 that's replaces the bolt carrier group with it's own unit the functions on it's own. You can get a dedicated .22lr upper which is not compatible with .223 but is more accurate.

If you're looking for an alternative search the " Armi Jager AP74". It's a .22 rifle designed to look like the Ar15, unfortunately also restricted.

Unless you're referring to the Squires Bingham M1600....They're non restricted but not really closely resembling to ar15's...

Even if they are restricted, does anyone here should say me if this Armi Jager AP74 can be found without too much problems in the province of Québec?

I must admit that they're ###y:rolleyes:.

Thanks.
Suid.

I have a S&B M1600 and never had any problems with it. Took me a little while to figure out how to remove the bolt but beyond that it has been great. I just need to find another magazine or two for it.

Yeah but I think he's looking for something that looks like an AR type rifle, not something that was so far from looking like it that the lawmakers decided to leave it alone.

To be franc, I'm not a customizer...I dont know much about firearms and I prefer to own "Already maked" guns. Do you thinkit is possible to found one of thoses armi jager in Canada and if yes, what cost will I have to expect...?

You might get closer if you could get a SB receiver to fit inside a metal airsoft receiver. I don't know if it would work, however.

At this level of time and energy, the price of a CQ311 would get attractive pretty quickly.

Not to hijack the thread but I beleve its a question on the same topic.
Has anyone seen the carbon 15 in .22lr that is on the Bushmaster website?
I found it through the Freedom Ventures link at the top of the page, and then clicked on Bushmaster firearms. The suggested retail price is $790. I do really like the look of them. Has anyone has seen or tried them and do you think they are a good deal?

$300-500

Like I said they're restricted :(

Thanks Armament, but I'm on the way to get my restricted class (just need more people to start the course:bangHead:) and I like this gun for his AR style and the .22 amo:D

@skirsons: Great job on your .22, but I dont have the time or the skills to make one of these, and I would prefer one that look closer to the AR.
