22 LR lever action

They're all about the same in terms of function and use. Henrys are a great price and work good, but they're cheaply made and finished. a 9422 is about the best there is, but it'll cost a LOT. The rest are somewhere in between. I'm looking forward to trying out the new Winchester if it ever makes it into Canada.

One thing to watch out for is the throw angle of ejected brass. If she's left handed, she likely wont want brass flying back at her face. There are some bottom ejecting semi and pump 22s - might be worth looking at something like that.

Honestly I was intrigued by it to until I saw they were going to sell for approx $640 in Canada. They could at least include a $20 takedown case. But instead ship them to the US and they are at Basspro for $390. On top of that the Ontario taxpayers threw a half million to savage to start up the new lever line. and they still couldn't throw us a bone. Takedown doesn't do anything for me so everything else being equal I'm choosing the Henry for the same price. To my knowledge I think they are still using polished blued barrels and haven't gone matte finish on everything like savage has.
 
The Classic version is already at some dealers here and selling in the $560 range. The deluxe version is still a few months out I was told from a LGS buddy.

Where did you get this spring kit? My bl22 trigger is tearable .
 
Browning BL22 get's my vote any day of the week, I have a BL22 bought new in 1985 it has literally 10's of thousands of rounds through it in the 40 years that I have owned it, never had an issue with it and it's still going strong, I doubt that I will live long enough to wear it out.
 
Late to the party , but didn't see any mention of the Ruger 96/22 . Also a short throw lever , 10 Rd. detachable mag . , great little lever , not cheap if you can find one but worth the money .
 
I bought my browning lever in 1980 for $175 . Used it a lot . Still working 100%
Some times I wish it had a clip ,for when i jump off of a quad or out of a truck to shoot at a grouse .
They can be a pain to load ,but they do hold 18 shots .
There is one lever out there that uses a clip ,for get the name of it .

Where did you get the spring kit. My trigger is like 6-7 lbs out of the box
