The Erma werke M1 22 training rifle. Originally manufactured for the German military and police after WW2 for training purposes the manufacturer started making these M1 carbine training rifles for the general public.

Be warned extra magazines for this gun cost upwards of $100 !?!, or you can modify some mossberg 702 magazines.

Very nice rifles with military provenance unlike the plastique Chiappas. I have heard the weak spot is the operating rod. A Brit company makes good quality replacement op rods. Not sure if there is a Cdn.source of those parts.

I heard unsubstantiated rumours the .22 Magnum chambering is not so good.
