.22 lr rifles

Thinking of purchasing a .22 caliber rifle for target and gopher shooting, looking for suggestions on this topic. Mind you cost is relevant, so looking for something that is cost effective.

Have a look at the Savage Mk2. I have the wood stocked one and it's a reliable and accurate shooter.

Some people dump on Savage, but their rifles are solid and a good value.

Used Anschutz 64. Yeah I know. But never paid more than 600$. Can shoot 1/2 and my 10/22 was more and less accurate.

But I also got a Savage MK 2 FV SR.

Start cheep , Savage ''Rascal'' , you'll love it.

Then avoid the trials & woes of the .22lr ladder , jump up to an Anschutz .

New or used they are phukn xlnt.

Don't waste time and money on inferior, inaccurate rifles. We've had several Anschutz 64 over the past 25 years and they are simply fantastic performer.

premium 22lr ammo is killing me, price wise now.
If you just plinking and shooting dirt squirrels. A CZ would be a good middle ground. Would feel your standard Canadian tire CCI ammo no issues.

Search for CIL 180 or 190 rifles (it’s a 64 Anschutz) You can pick em up for 400-500$ with sights if you look

Tikka T1x. Find the ammo it likes and you can split playing cards all day long at 50 yards.

hover your mouse over the seller's "handle" (name)... You'll get some options, including "start conversation".. Try that
