The GSG isn't a 10/22 - not sure what your point is? The interpretation only affects the 10/22 10+ round mags.

Because they sent out registered mail to everyone with a cz858 or SAN rifle 5 years ago when those got banned... Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense.

I have to disagree - ignorance of the law now is a valid excuse. I don’t have the link handy, but there is case law in Ontario - a man was charged with assaulting (beating) his wife. In court, his defence was that they were both from Lebanon; that in Lebanon, beating his wife was acceptable; and after moving to Canada, he did not know beating his wife was illegal (ie ignorance of the law). The judge bought the defence, and he was found not guilty. There was a second case with a man who beat his wife with a hockey stick; also claimed he was unaware it was illegal in Canada, and also got found not guilty.
Just something to keep in the “back pocket” in case it is ever needed......
