This is getting old already.

The two main models, the short barrel and the one with the fake suppressor, will be non-restricted because they are over 660mm and are rimfire. Barrel length has absolutely nothing to do with it! The only way to make one of these restricted is to take the short barrel model and stick the retractable stock on it.

Having said that, there's always the chance they become classified like the AR series, restricted, because they look evil and/or because there are accessories readily available that can easily convert them into rifles short enough to be classified as restricted.

Edited to add, they are currently on the prohib list because they are deemed to be MP5 variants. The importers are trying to explain to the RCMP labs that while these guns look like MP5's they are in no way functionally related are should therefore not be considered MP5 variants.

Yes this is getting old. They will not become restricted like the AR series. They either remain prohibited or they are reclassified based on their actual characteristics.

Seriously, has the RCMP even acquiesced your request for inspection and re-classification or do you have yet to establish contact with them?

how long does it take for the RCMP to look at one of these f-ing things?

Even a cursory glance can tell you it's nothing like a real MP5. Why is this taking so long?

Hey...

Let's all start a pool... not to guess when the gun is re-evaluated... but let's try to guess a date when this thread reaches 100 pages!

I don't like repeating myself, but this is important...

TSE, has the RCMP even acquiesced your request for inspection and re-classification? Are they sitting on the request or is something being done for them to have a sample rifle to verify?

If the price is too high we might as well just import them ourselves. I expect if Blue Line/TSE can't deliver on the price, which is only speculation at this point, most folks will just wait the 2 months and go through the importation process themselves.

$700.00 (speculation)- $469.00= 231.00

If you think you can import it for 231.00 go for it! remember your gonna pay a verifier, big postage twice, tax and duty and endless headaches. Then you'll have a gun you can't return for warranty service and if there is a lemon in the batch you'll get it be sure.

Way to give the importer who is shelling out time and money to get GRC approval encouragement for bringing new guns to market.

Half the guys who frequent this thread chuck 7 bills on 10/22s and assorted bolt on junk, price seems pretty much in keeping with the market for a fun unique plinker.

As for the GB pics I am no fan of plastic on anything but I can't see a mold line, swirl or imperfection anywhere . Looks like a nice gun and fun to boot!

EDIT: LOL Happydude I just noticed your from charlotte county maybe you can import for less then 231.00. (Joking of course. cheers)
