Can we debate price when its shown we can even get them?

Well, seeing how it's one of the few things about it we can begin to speculate on, why not? Unless of course, you'd like to start a discussion on your first hand knowledge of it's mechanical design that would lead RCMP Tech to classify it as prohibited?

Please, do tell us...;)

I'd be interested for sure. Though the prospects of a $1,000 rimfire interests me about as much as a $3,000+ Blue Special...

A krinker kit is near $800ish...I think this little gem's look are worth a grand alone

One of the things that CPC could have easily done for us (for free BTW) was canceling the nonsense prohibition OICs.
Is that too much to ask for?
We would not have had to lead endless conversations on how this thing got on the list for pure looks but too effin bad - it is there.

Ummm....ever imported a rifle through Questar or another company? :D
It's one of those things: If you have to ask how much....you probably can't afford it ;)

Exchange+Import fees+Duty+taxes+ etc.: Expect the cost to at least double.
Also, the "proposed" selling price and the actual MSRP are generally two different things. Like I said, I've been back and forth with these guys for a few months. When and if they actually hit the market, I'll give you a more accurate cost to get one in-country.....but from the research I've done (which consists of a *bit* more than pulling a dollar figure of a german website) "a thousand something" is right in line.

YMMV however.

Importing from Europe is different than importing from the US. It is actually a bit easier to get stuff from Europe.

Blue Line Activities Ltd from Vancouver, BC is German Sports Guns Gmbh Canadian Sole Agent and exclusive distributor. GSG-5 is prohibited right now, but they are working on status change to non restricted and restricted. They will be advertising it firstly right here on CGN as soon as they have everything ready to go. Their initial order will be large enough to cover entire Canadian market.

Did anyone say why it's currently prohibited?

Quick - somebody talk to them and tell them the advantages to selling 22 semi's in Canada and how ready we are for their product. Then tell them to change the wording in their marketing copy if they want access to our market...

People who keep putting $1000 out there are retarded. Its a 22, not some space age super caliber. Its not worth more then 700 tops especially with a listed price of around 450. Anything around a 1K leave it in Germany.

+1.

Looks pretty interesting. Is it all steel/aluminum or is there a lot of plastic in it? If its a solid, well built little rifle I'd probably buy one, depending on price & classification, of course. It does look to be miles ahead of the krinker stuff though.
