I'm think my 10/22 will shoot better than the GSG-5. I'm going to tacticool mine and I'm done. It won't look the same but I highly doubt the GSG-5 will shoot a half inch at 50M. I'm not a good shot but in this pic I shot the first 4 (using Mini Mags) under 1/2 inch (outside to outside) and pulled the 5th shot quite badly. (I was pretty excited.) Someone who knows what they are doing could do quite a bit better with this setup I'm sure.

Pray tell, what kind of upgrades have you done on your 10/22? If you were to do like most others in this subforum, it would end up costing you approximately 900$ to get a satisfying final product. You're paying the same thing for a rifle that'll perform marginally better...

I suppose this is a case of different strokes for different folks.
 
KDX: Dude, quit your sulking. This is like the 5th post you've made about not wanting a GSG-5 any longer. Seriously, lighten up. Glad to hear you've found joy with your 10/22. It'd have been a disappointment for you to have bought a GSG-5 and not have liked it.
 
If memory serves it was only 2 posts. I'm not sulking, more like depressed. I was probably the most stoked guy originally when these things came out and now it's kind of like when you chase the chick you've always wanted and finally get a chance to nail her, the hunt was better than the kill. Sounds dumb, but I so wanted one of those and am guessing they will come in over $700 and just can't justify in my mind spending that kind of cash on looks alone. Now if they do prove to be incredibly accurate that's another story and I will end up buying one.
 
It's madening how long re-classification is taking. It should take only minutes for a technician to determine that it isn't an MP-5 variant.

Maybe it did only take a few minutes... but the paperwork is lagging behind? :confused:
 
Sighhh. This new generation of cool non restricted toys is going to absolutely massacre my bank account.


x2 on the reliability. Other than that, since that fake suppressor looks rifled I'm thinking that's a non restricted .22 right there. Combine with unlimited mags, shake well and enjoy.
