i have both the ruger mklll stainless bull barrel in 5.5(i added the HI-VIZ front sight) and a regular mklll slab-barrel in 4.5. both are good shooters and both are 22-45 models....cant stand 1911 grip angle.

the target shot was at 30 meters with the stainless 5.5

Browning Buckmark Camper model. Great fun to shoot, easy on the wallet, and has a grip angle similar to my Ruger SR9 9mm. I think the grip angle on the Browning is just about the same as a 1911.

I have had a couple of S & W model 41's, a model 17, an Anschutz Exemplar, a Ruger I, and a Ruger II with a 10" bull barrel. I shot the Ruger until it fail to function and then cleaned it. It was so tight I just hated taking it apart.
A Ruger II or III in a light version would be my choice.

that's the sole dark thing with ruger pistols.

figuring out the needle spring thing when closing the latch.

once well understood, it's not an issue anymore, i clean my rugers each 600 rounds wich mean roughly each 2 outings.

norinco m93.
hey,for 188 bucks shipped w/ 2 mags why not.

2 caveats:

1. the rear sight lock screw needs to be tightened down but good or you will lose it.didn't happen to me (yet) but someone i know lost his.

2. the recoil spring and guide rod--don't take it out UNLESS you are in a room where it will be easy to find when i flies out of the slide and goes god knows where:redface:
(had to order a new one--i accidentally pressed down on the sheet metal retainer and when i went to reinstall, well, you know the rest:redface:)

apart from that she's accurate and reliable and made of steel but w/ lots of rough machining chatter marks.

ruger mk3 standard, sig mosquito. mosquito is great, as long as i'm using stingers, ruger isn't as fussy. i like the sig more, but i think i'm in the minority on that. what i like the most about the .22 pistols is that my son can shoot all day without putting me in the poor house, and they are both simple to operate. the problem now is that he has discovered the joys of a 1911:kickInTheNuts:.
