.22 PRS scope power?

Jerry is right about the Athlon line.

I had a chance to try out a FFP Agros, cannot say enough about the quality at a 520.00 price point, loved the reticle and turrets!

Lol!!

I will say that I’m liking the idea with this ffp scope and being able to choose any magnification I want and not worry about the reticle being in accurate

There will be new options for 2021 with some offering a very nice feature set for moderate increase in costs. If your friend is interested in learning more, he can contact me by pm or email.

I really like the Argos BTR Gen2 as a price point scope for rimfire PRS... especially if going to shoot in production BUT that class has changed its rules, new scopes are coming out so they may be a better solution soon.

I too am looking for a scope for a 10/22.

My main question should the base have any MOA built into it?

I have seen up to 30 MOA base, the scope I am looking at is the Argos BTR GEN2 6-24×50 having a max 60 moa elevation how does the base affect elevation use within the scope?

Should I get a zero moa base or a base with 20 or 30 moa built in to? And use rings like Burris XTR signature I think they can give me up to 40 MOA adjustment

I had a 6.5x20 viper on my 22 savage using burris signature .10 rings, the viper had a total of 60 moa.i did not have enough clicks to shoot 300 with it,I was about 12 moa short, tried the athlons ares with 80 moa and have room to spare.now I'm wondering why I bought only .10 but I'm not the brightest light.i want to put the viper back on because it belongs there.just in the process of figuring how much pop can aluminum I need to shim the back.so if you could get a scope with more moa go for it, or get an moa base or the rings.you will need one or two of those to shoot 300 are farther with a 22lr.but I forget more then I learn.others are the ones to listen too.

How do you do that,I have the the burris .10 what you speak of can that be done with signature are do you need the xtr.

You can do it with the signatures. It sort of works like a 10 or 20 MOA rail. Basically you set your scope up so that your internal adjustments are as close to bottom as you can manage, and use the 5/10/20 bushings to get to your base zero. I've done it on a few scopes, works quite well. - dan

So I mount my scope with it cranked all The way down, then shim the back until it zeroes say at 50 yards.is that right.thanks, don't want to hijack this thread sorry.

Really depends on how far out you want to go. The most common rail for the 10/22 is a 20 MOA rail. I will use Burris XTR sig rings so that I can set it up the way I want for the optic I choose.

If you are just shooting out to say 100yds, a flat base with most modern scopes will work just fine. But if you want to play at 300yds, shim shim shim.

Thats a cool bipod is it specifically for that stock.

No... this is the MPOD which is my design and something I can offer.

It will fit onto pretty much all rifles with a T slot rail I can offer. If the stock already has an Anschutz spec T slot rail, then it will slide on.

What new scopes are coming out?

you have any gen 2 6-24X50 and burris xtr sig rings in stock? I have a 10/22 competition (31127), it has a 30 moa base not sure in ring height needed
