I went to the range today and had a great time with my .22 rifles, but a strange thing happened my targets for 50 and 100m were basically the same. First of all let's start with the gun. It's a Cooey Ranger, and shoots groups of about 1 1/2"groups at 100m with the odd flyer, but today the groups were about 2"+. I blamed it on the wind. My groups at 50m were about the same 2"+.?? At 50 they are normally an about 1 inch.
The scope is a Bushnell 4x9x50 I picked up at Canadian Tire on sale. I have to use the scope because I can't see a 1/2" bull at 50m with out one. The ammo is Winchester Dyno points. It's the same ammo I always use but is a new box. I did this a few times to check and got the same results. What is going on? I want to blame the ammo but I want to fix the problem before I go again. What do you think?
