22 Rabbit

I have a 22Rabbit (only name on it is Rabbit)
Its a short single shot similar to a Cricket sold today
It looks like a Cooey and has been in or family for years
What I was wondering is if anybody has any info on these such as
History
Finish (blued or browned )I would like to refinish this one
I'm sure it was a low priced firearm in its day

I had one to, sorry I have no pics for you to see to compare but I believe it has a short (approx 18") barrel and short length of pull. Sort of a youth gun. The word RABBIT on top of reciever. Bolt needed to be pulled back to #### after the bolt was closed.

I have seen a few at gun shows like it, was told by a seller of one that Winchester made them but I don't know if it is true or not.

If in good condition it has some collector value but only to the right person, mine was in poor shape but a functional shooter. I use it for new shooters or younger people I take out gopher hunting.

dad has one... it is indee a youth gun, ugly but functional.
