Is there a good .22 cal revolver around 300.00-500.00 new? If so, which one do you recomend that is fairly easy to maintain? If not I will probably end up with a semi ruger but I would rather not have to chase around all that itty bitty brass.

For a single action, Ruger Single Six, for a double action, used Smith and Wesson Model 17. I'm sure there are others, but those are my choices.

"...rather not have to chase around all that..." That's what brooms are for.
For $300 you're looking at used. Most new .22 revolvers run around $600. A lot of .22 revolvers are prohibited due to barrel length too.
A revolver needs to fit your hand properly. Where are you in Ontario? It'd be best to go look at a few and try 'em on for size. Mind you, a revolver won't be competitive for bullseye shooting.
Shooter's Choice, in Waterloo, is listing Ruger Super Single Sixes. Goble's, in London and Tillsonburg, is listing Ruger and Taurus .22 revolvers(one of 'em just under $500 with a 5" barrel). Epp'sis listing a S&W 617, 10 shot revolver but not in your price range.

I would look around for a used Smith and Wesson model 17.They come up quite frequently on the EE.They are the classic 22 revolver and a used one will be in your price range. However,as a poster above pointed out,a semiauto in rimfire isnt a big deal ,as most ranges have a broom and a dust pan for collecting the empties.

My dad owns an H&R Model 676 .22 Convertible revolver. For those that don't know the 676, you can change the gun from a .22LR to .22WM just by swapping out the cylinders. He bought it long before I was born back in 1978 I think it was. Single and double action 6 shooter!

If you can find them, they can be bought for about $200 if you don't mind the "western" look.

I will have to research some of those, thanks for the jumping off point. If price was not such an issue I would go for one of the full size semi's I think, like a cz kadet. So it is not an aversion to sweeping that is my primary focus lol It is just an added perk to a revolver!

FYI: I have some Heritage Manufacturing single action 22LR/22Mag revolvers in stock.

As far as I know these have not been commonly available in Canada.

Google heritage manufacturing or visit my site to learn more.
