.22 Revolvers with swing out cylinders

LOL, you just need to haunt the gun shows.
I saw a nice condition Iver Johnson Sportsman like mine at the last one for $150 asking with a tag on it that said it was missing something inside. It was in great condition and I >almost< bought it. A $10 or $15 part from Numrich in the states or make the part yourself and it would have been back into shooting condition. But I figured why do I need it and left it to someone else to pick up and gloat over.

Isn't that the truth. For some reason there are always .22 revolvers in abundance. There is never really a screaming deal, but the prices are usually fair.
Don't insult the sellers but don't be afraid to dicker. I swear they set the prices stupidly high as a challenge. Talk to them, smooth their fur with some compliments about their displays, etc, etc, and say that you love the gun but it's just not in the mad money budget or that you've already spent so much or the wife will slice off your cojones or whatever. And then say that you know the gun is worth more but all you can offer is X amount as it's either all you can afford at that point in the show (don't do this to the first dealer just after the gates open 
) or it's all that it's worth to you personally.
These tactics obviously work better at the end of the day. And hopefully no one else wanted the poor thing earlier when the action was serious.
