Did the Czech army ever field a .22 rimfire conversion kit for the Vz-58, or an entire .22 rimfire Vz-58?

We need a .22 LR conversion kit for the VZ58/CZ858, with 30 round mags. Or an entire Vz-58 / CZ-858 rifle dedicated to .22 rimfire.

The VZ58 was supposed to be made in 5.56mm to conform to NATO. They also made some in 7.62x51 nato. Due to the economy....the 5.56mm VZ58 model is on hold.

How about a modified Ruger 10-22?

There are plenty of 10/22 look-a-likes out there if one wants one - I don't. I'm interested in a .22 long rifle conversion kit or a whole .22 dedicated as a trainer.

.22 conversion kits have been built for the AR15/M-16, the FN-FAL, G-3, AK, and Mini-14, you would think that the Czechs would have designed one for their rifle.

A conversion kit for the 58/858 would require some kind of barrel liner or adaptor. ARs are in a caliber already pretty close to that of .22lr in terms of bore diameter.

Yes it would. Just like the kits for the FN, G-3 and AK. The barrel of the conversion unit fits inside the existing chamber/barrel.

AFAIK, all the receivers we get in Canada are custom order.
