Today was an interesting range trip indeed.
Frustrating that many SK/Lapua match ammo just have too thin & too narrow rim dimensions to extract properly!! Winging it here....

Winchester Power Point gave much less extraction issues. I say less, because half the time I still needed to get my fingers in their to pry out the half withdrawn empty with my fingernail. Whatever, the rifle is 103 years old single shot after all.
-200 meters to the target required over 500 yards on the original No I Mk III 303 rear sight ramp to get ball park onto paper (Edit: fresh look at target, site setting 600)
-300 meters to target(!!!) required about 900 yards on the ramp
-a shifting wind made further experiments at 300 meters pretty much impossible for these 54 year old eyes!

Lots of fun, sorry I forgot to upload pics! ;)

PS: Can anyone else with any 22 LE trainer, recommend specific ammunition that extracted/shot okay for you and your iron sights???

Mine was a 1932 No2 MKIV 22 trainer, and it shot very well with RWS Club and CCI Std Vel. No problems with feed and extraction at all. Mine came with the original rear tangent and front blade sights, but I mounted a Lyman 17A front globe and PH5A rear aperture sight. The Lyman 17A fit nicely between the front "ears", but the dovetail needed some custom filing to fit. Worth the effort if you are looking for better accuracy.
