.22 Rimfire Twists

I understand the twist for a rifle barrel is 1 in 16 and 1 in 14 for pistol. How critical is the use of a 1 in 14 twist in a pistol. The only rimfire blanks I can find are 1 in 16. Is the use of a 1 in 16 on a pistol OK?

I doubt you'll be able to see a difference between a 1-16" and 1-14" twist at most pistol distances, especially if you're shooting 22 LR.
