Howdy,
Anybody know where I can buy some of the above close to Vancouver Island?
Or just anywhere I can buy it at all??

Norma and Sellier and Bellot are the only companies loading it. Epp's lists it. No mention of price. Probably Norma. Runs $50ish US per 20, Stateside. Likely $70 + Cdn.
Even reloading is problematic as the cartridge uses a .227 or .228 inch bullet. Hornady makes one .227" 70 grain SP.
 
Great little cartridge, use 25/35 brass to load and cast bullets sized to .228" and you have a very inexpensive rifle to load for. Any bad press this cartridge may have gotten over the years in regards to accuracy is due to the rifles that it was offered in.
 
Believe it or not the Canadian Tire store in Kenora, Ontario stocks Norma .22 Hi Power. Price is about 40.00 bucks a box. Google Canadian Tire Kenora Ontario. They should have some.
