22 scope

I posted in optics but not much in reply. What scope for targets (paper) at 50 & 100yds. I find some of the cross hairs to thick for accurate work. Less then $500. I have 1 scope that is at least 1moa, hard to shoot 1/2 in groups. Thanks to those in the know. AJ

I like my Weaver t36 and they are available around that range.

If you are shooting for groups at 100 the magnification should be at the very least 12x, but ideally in the 18-24x range, with fine crosshairs, and preferably an adjustable objective. I was in the same boat last week with a lower budget and I bought a vortex crossfire II for about $300 that's 6-18x44 AO with the upgraded dead hold BDC reticle that usually only comes on the diamondback and viper series.
Something like that leaves you wiggle room for a real nice set if rings.
