.22 semiauto full size?

Looking for a full size .22 auto loader. Love shooting, need something a bit cheaper, looking at the sig mosquito, walther p22 and S&W mp22
What is better and why?
 
sig mosquito and walther p22 are not full size. M&P 22 is full size, and an excellent pistol to boot. P22 eats parts from what I have seen and apparently the sigs crack their slide easily, which maybe remedied by now, talk to sigboy he might have some info for you. Or a gsg 1911 if you like that platform.

Out of what you outlined I would recommend the m&p 22 the most.
 
Good info guys, didn't know the p226 was available in .22 definitely a gun that feels good in my hand. Haven't held an m&p 22 yet, so I better get to the gun shop and see how it feels, 1911's are good, have had 3 variations, just want to try something different.
 
I have a Ruger Mark 3. full stainless. If I fire a .22, that's my preference. The gun is less expensive than most conversion kits, and is completely stainless. people complain about the teardown, but they are just being lazy :)

on a side note, if you have a .22, ANY .22 and are having feed issues, try BLAZER or American Eagle. I have terrible luck with Winchester.
 
I have the m&p 22 and the gsg. I like both guns and yes both are full size. Side by side my gsg and the norc feel very close. I also have a m&p 45 that is the same size as the 22. They are both great training weapons with a big brother. I have tried a few different .22 brands and now run nothing bit CCI mini mag which run far and beyond everything else I have tried. I would highly recommend the m&p 22 if it's your choice as the .45/.40/9mm are all the same size.

I own an older Ruger Mk II 5.5 inch blued version. I have no complaints about it.

I think it is important to mention that the Wather P22 has an alloy slide that sometimes can disintegrate while shooting!?!

The P22 lovers will probably be all over this post. But I personally don't care about thier feelings on this matter and I wish to inform the public of this potential hazard.

Was at the local gun shop today, have to say, the sig still fits best in my hand, my son like it because it looks cool. Happened to be the combat model in a cool color combo.
I did check out the GSG 1911 felt pretty good too, they didn't have any m&p 22 in stock, so couldn't check those out, will try another store soon as I can!
 
CZ Kadet is definitely a top notch piece, pricey but all steel.
Sig P226 Classic .22 would also be a great full-size choice.
Conversions for Glock or 1911 are well built too.
GSG operates well, the finish isn't durable unless your careful.
 
Stay away from the Sig Mosquito as well. Lots of complaints of slide breakage.

Sig P226 22lr are sweet. You can always buy a 9mm conversion X-Change kit for it and still be under $1K. Compared to buying a 9mm version and then a 22LR X-Change kit later which will run you up to around $1300. Go figure.
M&P22 is great as well as others pointed out.
 
Dlask, has Grand Power .22's in stock.
I haven't tried one yet but their 9mm that it is based off is a very nice pistol and feels great in my hand.
