.22 shortage!?

Not much in Kelowna at the moment. West side Canadian Tire had some bulk packs. I got the last 2 Winchester 333 pack $16 each. They had some Remington thunderbolt 500rnd bulk packs but it was about $35 a box. Gunsmith in town had some for $40 and grouse river had a few 500rnd packs at $65 & $70.

Was in Edmonton earlier in the week Cabela's didn't have any bulk packs and wholesale sport had some bricks at $35 if I remember properly. P&D had some match grade stuff for about $35 as well.

I had a full box of 500 shorts in the 50 per box x ten individual packs on my table at the Kamloops
gun show.
Amounts to five bucks a box.
Not a hit, nadda, nope, zip, zilch.
Not even an over per each.
Can't be that hungary owt there.

It's was more of a mocking of the situation. I didn't get any locally but an hour down the road they had more than I could afford to buy even if I wanted to buy it all. All I find here is the odd 50 box of wild cats and or thunder bolts which I actually like and subsonics of various velocities mostly 710 fps. Wally World sometimes has the winny 333 boxes which are fine in lever and bolt but don't feed well in my 10/22. Basically locally things are dry. But there are tons just down the road. I prefer mini mags and federal match and they had both. So I say shortage!? Because I think there isn't one overall just in selective areas. So I am curious as to where it is around and where it's not as a test to that theory but honestly I will sleep well at night no matter what.
