It was my understanding that these rounds don't have the heavy wax coating on it. making cleaning easier and less junk left in your gas tube & action.

What are they charging for 1000 round box ?
The box I picked up was only 500 rounds. $23
These have no wax on them and they seems to be a very smooth black coating.

During WWII the OSS used suppressed, High Standard MODEL H-D's in .22 long rifle. The rounds were 40 grain solids that had been modified to have a wide meplat instead of the normal ogive profile. Sneaking about with a supressed pistol with grey matter mashing rounds sounds like "tacticle" use to me.

Cant forget that the Israelis still currently use suppressed 10/22's to deal with riots........would seem .22LR still has its place in modern fighting haha.
