22 takedown options.

My little badger 22lr lives its life in a back pack fold up and strapped to my quad. If you have only seen the abuse that little rifle has taken over the years, and the number of grouse it took while big game hunting. I think everyone should own one.

Is there a way to request a review of the regulations?
in my mind
unloaded, in respect of a firearm, means that any propellant, projectile or cartridge that can be discharged from the firearm is not contained in the breech or firing chamber of the firearm nor in the cartridge magazine attached to or inserted into the firearm. (non chargée)
should read:

unloaded, in respect of a firearm, means that any propellant, projectile or cartridge that can be discharged from the firearm is not contained in the breech or firing chamber of the firearm nor in the cartridge magazine
- that is inserted in the firearm if the firearm uses detachable magazines
- that is attached to the firearm if the firearm uses non-detachable magazines (blind mags, tubes, etc)

Some people are just too excited about being silly. It is not a backpack, it is a guncase. Stop being stupid. If you are in the bush with a hunting license you are absolutely fine... if you are in a crowded shopping mall, you are a special kind of stupid.

No worries, I was a Chiappa dealer for close to four years. Every Chiappa Kodiak Cub that I sold went back for warranty repair or replacement. On average, I sold 6-8 of them per year. So for 20 plus rifles, they were all junk. All but 4 were okay.
The actual design is a Marlin 39A copy, and it was a good idea. But poor head spacing, mim parts, low quality tolerances, poor fit & finish always came up.
I carried the blued/walnut, stainless, deluxe and the fancy model that slips my mind. Had issues with the majority of them.
Chiappa is never fun to fix!......:(
Warranty wait times were up to two years on some models........:(
Please stay away from Chiappa junk!
Looks can be deceiving, although they might look similar on the outside... well.

Takedowns? Well, I have only one - this is a BSA Model 2 b/a from 1910, converted to take-down configuration by Alex. Martin in Glasgow.

As far as records go, this is the only example ever made. It has a spiffy folding front sight - a combination ring and pin, and a BSA-made diopter rear tang sight with multiple apertures and adjustable windage.

Everything you can see is totally original, even the little rectangular flat tin. It contains a bore cleaner paste called 'Borebright' - somewhat like 'Mothers', but harder. The scrap of greased paper holds a jag. No part has ever been replaced, and the strike on the cartridge is both firm and VERY effective. It will drive a wooden kebab skewer about ten feet. The bore looks like new from end to end - even the chamber is devoid of any kind of visible damage from 114 years of use - the last thirty by me.

PS - now I can post images here (how that worked out, I have no idea), I can show you my six other .22 cal rifles - some might be quite interesting.
