My collecting has changed course a couple times since I started. Over the past year I have really found a soft spot for military trainers. I just thought I'd show you all where my collection is at. I know a JW25a isn't really a trainer, but it's close so I put it in.

Just an FYI for all those in the lower mainland. PCDHFC on Burke mountain is holding an open house. A chance to bring new shooters out to try their hand at firearms, archery etc. I believe range 10 will be dedicated to .22 and some of us are bringing military trainers along with the modern sporting guns.
Check out the web site.

My ONLY .22 bolt action rifle is a Belgian FN Mauser, the twin of it's big brother in .30-'06. Can't tell the difference until you look closely.

Nice group of rifles but, if you are after "true trainers", the only Mossbergs used for military training were the 44US and the 42Mb lend lease rifle to Britain. Both will say "property of US" and have a serial number and the 42Mb lend lease will have English proof marks as well.
