I have had a real nice FN .22 trainer for a number of years, and have always had a hankering for one of the Remington barreled 98 conversions.

Well, Tinman204 felt sorry for me and offered me one. We made a trade and here she is. It is a bit "humped" at the fore-end, but otherwise appears to be quite usable.

Kjohn, so glad that you are happy with that one!! It's neat to see how different armies dealt with training rifles, that one is quite neat in the fact that they converted a k98. I've put many rounds through it and I will say it is quite accurate!

I'm not going to lie folks I ended up with a smile ear to ear cause Kjohn also felt bad for me and pulled out some nice "junk" from his pile to make me feel better!!

training masers are awesome, which one are you saying is humped. any closeup of the markings ?

The top one at the fore-end. I haven't seen another one up close for many years, so I don't really know what they are supposed to look like.

Maybe "humped" isn't the right term. Repaired might be the case.

the top one is correct , the bottom one should not have a bayonet lug , check it and see if there is a hole drilled for the cleaning rod.

here is a picture of mine with two mas 45 also used by Israel.
