Hello,
Does anyone have one of these yet? The G1 BC for the .224 90gr smk is .563. The round leaves the muzzle at approx. 2700 fps. It's about 34 moa of drop at 1,000 yards and 7.5 moa of wind from a 10mph x-wind. It almost matches my 6.5cm 140gr with 34 moa of drop and 6.6 moa of wind. But the price for the bullets is much nicer! It costs about $200 for 500 77gr smk's. I am sure that as the round's popularity grows, there should be more manufacturer's making similar rounds.
I have a Maccabee SLR on order. So for a cartridge that has to fit inside of a small-frame ar and use ar mags, this cartridge seems to be pretty awesome. I'd use it for PRS gas gun matches and probably varminting. I thought about using it for 3gun, but an 18.5 inch barrel, to keep it NR, just doesn't seem worth it.
