.22 winchester model 69a trigger

I have had a model 69a since the sixties and up until now was under the impression nothing could be done about the trigger......I have always wanted to " tweak " the trigger and have read recently somewhere that in fact the trigger has an internal adjustment for trigger pull.....anybody have any experience with this guns trigger ? and can it in fact be tweaked/lightened a little ? ......your input desperately wanted/appreciated........thanks

The big plug screw on the rear of the aluminum mag well controls the spring tension on the trigger.
