Has anyone here pulled the bullets from 22WMR rounds and reloaded with a a differnet pwder and bullet. I am doing this right now because all I can get around here is dyna point (crap 1400fps). I am going to load up some 35gr v-maxs in front of 5-8gr of lil'gun.

Just a plain bad idea. Unless you have very specialized equipment for loading a rimfire round.
Remember. the primer is in the rim. The best way to hold on to a case is with the rim. Pulling a bullet out and pushing a bullet in both require pressure on the rim.
This is certainly a recipe for disaster.
Like Levi said. "get a Hornet"...
The best advice would be to suffer with the stuff you have any when you get some where that has a better variety. Stock up. Or order it, or if you have a friend going there...
There are many better SAFER options...

I know what you are saying but pressure does not set the primer off the shock of the firing pin sets it off. This was standard practice for pistol silhouette shooting in the past. You used to be able to buy primed WMR brass from winchester way back then.

I was wondering about re-loading rimfire cases too. I have been finding some references to bullet puller as the first thing one should have for this practice. I nearly went into manufacturing my own bullet puller but got lazy (my usual state). Interesting fact, I wanted slow and heavy bullet as opposite to what you want, something like aquila 60gr - I didn't know they exist.

reloading rimfire ammo ???

I also agree this is a bad idea , I bought a couple of boxes of Dynpoints in .22 mag., was very unhappy with them . But I think what your trying to do is dangerous , I would advise against it . Wait till you can get the bullets you want , from a store , ( factory ammo ) be careful..... Joe

Actually, custom loading 22WMR ammo isn't really a rare practice. Although now that you can get factory loaded WMR with 35 gr VMAX bullets, one has to question why. Find them, order a case of 5,000 and enjoy. The time, risk and cost associated with loading rimfire ammo just doesn't balance the (minimal) difficulty of finding the factory stuff and ordering it in.

Prosper, I have been shooting the Remington 33gr v-max 22mag rounds and I have called everywhere and cannot find any. Everyone has them on order. I ordered a 1000 but was told it would be 6 to 8 months.
