220 Lapuas .308

Hopefully Ron will be shooting it out to 800M at the Atlantics here in 2 weeks and we'll know more about how it does.
34" barrel and that extra case capacity should allow it to reach around 2600 with the right powder.

It does recoil more, but its still in the tolerable zone for a 308.
 
Have reached 2550 fps, before velocity gains begin to diminish, with both N150, and N550. Accuracy is still very good with 7 different loads at close range.
Going to try N160 next.
 
Still no long range testing. Todays snow isn't helping.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stuff enough N160 into a case to get the 220s moving as fast as I would like.
2550 fps with N150 or N550 should get the job done though. Had seven different 3shot one hole groups at 100m.
