Acquired a 700 classic and want some .220 owners to chime in on what your favorite coyote thumper is and what powder you prefer for speed and accuracy. Leaning towards a 50ish gainer and imr4064 from online poking but gonna start from scratch. Not worried about hides and want to hold on fur waybout there and use a simple scope setup. Depends on the rifling twist. But heavier bullets would be preferable.

flat bullets and reduced ricochet sounds like your looking for a 50gr Vmax! in a 1-14 you may even be able to get away with 40 gr as well but i have not heard much on the subject of 40s in a swift. if you dont want to go with the hornadys the nosler balistic tips i find are almost as good as the vmax.
I apologize, I never realized you are running a 1/14 twist rate. I run a 1/9 rate in a 26" pacnor tube to allow myself to run a little higher B.C . The 1/14 twist will be excellent for the 40 to 55gr pills , imr 4064 is a great powder choice for the .220 swift with the lighter bullets. With a 200 yard zero ,you should have no problem leveling coyotes out to 400+ yards. Good luck & play safe.

Like pretty much everyone else here I use IMR 4064 but this winter I'm going to experiment with some of the new Enduron powders. For accuracy and lethality I haven't found a bullet that beats Sierra Blitzkings out of my .220 swift. I hunt for furs so damage is a concern but they work great. Second place I'd give to 52 gr Berger match varmint, lethal and accurate with little to no hide damage. Calhoon bullets also make a 50, 52 and 55 gr double hollow point specifically for coyotes which I'm going to try out this winter. All I've used is the 46 gr in a 22 K hornet on a coyote about 100 yards out, no exit wound. Good luck with the bullet selection and great choice on the caliber, you couldnt get better for shooting coyotes.

I used to shoot the 52 grain Speer HPFB, which often did not exit a coyote. IMR 4064 or Vihtavuori N140 are great choices for 50/52 grain pills.
For the 55's, I always got the best results with H380, but the newer IMR 4007 is showing promise, too.
Most 55 grain bullets will exit a coyote, and the result can be a bit messy.
These days I use the Hornady 50 V-Max, or the Nosler 50 Ballistic Tip in the Swift.
