220 swift ???

looking for a cheap 220 swift but i cant find any except for remington imlooking for something cheap like a stevens or something along those lines??

I wish you good luck. Winchester I think originally chambered the swift, but the gun rags painted it as a barrel burner, and it's been dying a painfully slow death ever since. What they said, MAY have been true, of the barrels of the early period. Certainly, it's pure BS with modern steels.
I don't think a lot of the cheaper lines picked it up.

I'm not sure, but I think only Remington and Ruger currently chamber rifles in 220 Swift.

You won't find a cheap one. I looked last year and ended up buying a Ruger#1 from Doug on this site. Got a good deal and love the rifle but it still wasn't cheap. I think the cheapest would be The Remington SPS.

Cheapest I've seen have been used Ruger 77s with the sporter weight barrel. Good luck. - dan

SPS is not available in 220 Swift.
You'll have to go HB if you want a Remington.
Best bet is to find a used one and have some fun with it.
220 Swift + gophers = the most fun you can have with your pants on

I don't think there is any such thing as a cheap .220 Swift. You certainly won't find one in a Stevens.

No cheap Swifts available unless you happen to stumble on a good used one at a reasonable price. Even an older Tang-safety Ruger Swift HB in good shape demands real dollars. I have one of these and it is wonderfully accurate, as several coyotes can testify (if they were able once dead!) I think you may have to dig deeper if you have your heart set on a Swift.
