hello all.. so here is my ?
Who all out there has any experience with this fun little wildcat. im currently waiting on my build to complete, so as im waiting im trying to do a little more research on my new back-up coyote rig.
I have picked up 65gr Hornady v-max to be my projectiles as I feel i can get the best velocity and range with these bullets.(300yrd max)
With my research i have come across (60-75gr projectiles) only 3 listed powders on the Hodgdon reloading data page.. Those 3 powders are:
1-BL-C2(highest velocity)
2-H4895
3-H4198(slowest Velocity)
When I look in my Hornady Reloading Manual # 7 i see almost 30 different powders in between H4198 and BL-C2 with H4895 being in the centre. Among these 30 powders listed I have more then 4 of the others on Hand.. RL7, Varget, H322, RL10x and the list goes on..
I do have 1 pound of BL-C2 on hand but would really love to try some other powders on hand (mostly Varget and RL7) as i have 5 pounds of both kicking around.... Would it be safe to try these as they fall directly into those burn ratings or do any of you out there have any in site please... any help would be much apprechated
