I have done a lot of testing with the .222. I did find that a 50 grain V-Max with 23 gr. IMR 3031 was a great combination. Varget a very close second. At 100 yards, it punched the dots on the target, but I would venture it to be a very good 'Yote caliber and have put one down at just over 300. ( rangefinder). I found it very comparable to my Savage .223. But I like the .222 better.
