just started to play with my 222 for coyotes, haven't started figuring out a load yet, anybody have a good load that they would share?

rifle?

what rifle are you loading for, from my experience the triple duece is not fussy at all, mine pretty much shoots under moa with any load, just some groups are better then others, t3 lite, I have been having great luck with benchmark powder, with varget a close second. Bullet weight is another variable, any idea what weight bullet you are going to load for?? also do a search in the reloading forum because there are lots of pet loads posted on here already.

its a C.I.L anschutz, recover her from abuse....... haven't decided what wieght of bullet, thinking about 50gr,i have heard that varget can get tempature sensative but have not tryed it myself to prove, iam going to look at the pet loads thanks:)

52 or 53 gr SMKs with 19.0 to 19.5g of IMR 4198, 20 th off the lands, i dont know of a 222 of any make that would not shoot 1 moa with this load.
My T-3 cuts the same hole,
Its a good load pasted i used it for the 3 222s i owned before.

All powders mention are great one other not mentioned is Win 748 with 53gr SMK on top of top load works for me

RL-7, H or IMR 4198, Vihtavuori N133 & 135, Benchmark, BLC-2, Reloder 10X, Varget, W748, H or IMR 4895, IMR 3031, Reloder 12(out of production), AA 2230, AA 2015, all work well in the 222. It is one of the easiest chamberings to work up an accurate load for. I have owned at least 10 222's from several different manufacturers, and all have shot well. If you had to pin me down to one load, I would have to say 19.0 grains of IMR 4198 and the 50 grain V-Max. Regards, Eagleye.
