back to Mark........

I know you are the ballistics guru, BUT

Hodgdon makes H3031 and

IMR makes IMR 3031.

if you are going to challenge an old fart on facts, you might want to do a bit of reading first, buddy................ :)

And if you don't believe me, ask Larry Cue. He is old enough to know.

sure, it is IMR 3031, not Hodgdon 3031, even though they may be now making it, it is not marketed as Hodgdon 3031, at least not at the moment.

if someone could post a pic of a can of powder or box in this case, that shows it labeled at H3031, I will eat my foot

:p

Do you want fries with that ?........:dancingbanana:

I just poured through a few "Vintage" loading manuals and cannot find any references to an H3031 ??? Only the old standby IMR 3031;)
I'm afraid once again Mr. Bartell may be right:beerchug:

Back to todbartell..........

All I have here now is two old cans, both of which had something else in them at one time, one that I marked H3031 from the box of powder from Higginson's, and one that I marked IMR 3031 that I got from an estate in an old milk bottle or something. So my pictorial evidence is (shall we say) shaky. It has been a few years since I got the last box of H3031 from Higginson's, and the last bit of it in the can is the end of that four or five pounds. Phone Larry..........

Fog,

Like I posted before I have the same rifle - 340C. I've tried a about 5 different loads but these 2 have worked real well. Barnes X 50g or Hornady VMAX 50g with 20.5g of IMR4198.
