.223/5.56 VZ mag pouches?

What are you guys using for mag pouches for the 5.56 vz mags? Do .308/7.62 mag pouches work alright? I tried jamming them in my tac tailor triple pouch with no success, info and pics would be much appreciated. Thanks

Try the original ak 47 pouches. There's enough slack in most of them that you can fit the slightly larger VZ mags in them.

There are some Alice pattern pouches out on the market (remember the AR/M16 pouches?) made for AK mags (They hold 3 each). I was intending on buying 1 or 2 to see if the VZ mags would fit--just haven't gotten around to it.

On a related note does anybody know why Russian Combat Gear isn't in business anymore? I'd send you here http://www.russiancombatgear.com/ but they seem to be done. I bought a chest rig from them about a decade ago and it's my everyday rig, still in perfect condition today and I think it was designed to hold 8 AK mags. Too bad they seem to be out of business now. Anybody know any alternatives for authentic Russian gear?
