Is anyone familiar with MFS brand bulk ammo from Hungary?

https://alflahertys.com/product_detail.php?pc=B&psc=108&uid=1565&page_num=0

Al Flaherty has it for sale, I was curious if anyone has used any and how it might shoot. So far I have always used American Eagle for my bulk stuff.

Another question about MFS ammo - is this stuff hard on the barrel? I've heard it's not a good thing to put down the pipe as it is steel cased and causes pre-mature barrel wear.

There any truth to this? Thanks for the help!

its decent ammo to just blast away with, ive never heard of it damaging guns though, but dont expect to shoot 1 MOA groups consistently with it

I was going to buy some MFS since a local seller had it, I bought AE brass cased stuff cause it was cheaper.
if the AE runs out i'll probably give the MFS a try, I shot a few rounds of it this past weekend, each one went BANG! that seems about right to me.

yea, it's alright in a pinch... it runs really dirty, though I've never really heard anything about wearing out the barrel prematurely

For the price, you can score some remington umc ammo from lebaron...

i throw a ton of this stuff through my sks pretty accurate for that gun anyways and doesnt come off as dirty to me
Cheapest non corrosive lead core i have found

cheers

I've run a couple housand through my ar(s) and a few hundred though my mini.

its all been decent ammo (55 gr hp) shoots farly well. not too dirty or too clean.

out of my ar(s) it hits a 12" gong at 250y with boreing reularity..........

I shoot a lot of MFS in 55gr.
About 0.35 per ($175 per 500). I haven't found anything else here for that price.
No problems with accuracy (as accurate at 100yds as I can shoot).
No problems with dirty (after a hundred shots the barrel is still pretty clean).
Only drawback I can think of is the steel casing which means no reloading.

If you are looking for an accurate factory round spend an extra dollar and get the Federal 193 ball. I can tear 1 ragged hole with a 5 shot group out of my AR at 100 yards. Excellent factory loads.
