.223 Ammo Quality

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe they have a bi-metal jacket.
For me that makes it a no go for my higher end rifles. But I'll still use it in my cheaper guns.
I haven't had any issues with the S&B that I've shot. It is dirty though.

I have a bunch of S&B in green boxes marked 223/5.56 M193 55gr FMJ and it has decent brass for reloading and appears to use copper jacketed projectiles similar to American Eagle Tactical 55gr black box. It shoots decently with accuracy similar to the American Eagle stuff. I've tried it in 3 or 4 223 rifles and it is reliable and acceptably accurate in all of them. You definitely won't be shooting 1 moa groups with this unless you get real lucky and your barrel loves it but it's good ammo for the money if you can find it for $0.50/round or less.

Thanks much guys. I clean my guns after near every shoot so don't mind a little bit of dirty ammo; I do own an SKS too :)) Can get this ammo for about 0.59 cents per including delivery from TEC, not too bad. Again thanks.

CanAm has 223for 47 cents shipped.

I ran 200 through my ar's last trip to the range. The 55gr fmj shot very acceptably through both of mine.
I found it shot better than the AE stuff and about $15 less per 100. The brass is boxer primed and should be good to reload.
