Have you tried the Federal Gold Medal Match 77 grain HPBTM ? It's a heavier bullet with a AR15 friendly OAL, it's the civilian version of the MK262 5.56 ammo

In fact no, it is difficult for me to find this kind of ammunition ( since i'm not set up for reloading yet ) 55gr or 62gr are easy to find.

I want to try different kind of ammunition for a 9" barrel gun with a 1/7 twist, may have access to a chronograph soon, would like to know the velocity at the muzzle with these short barrel.

Everywhere i read that you loose a lot of velocity with a very short barrel compare to lets say a 16" barrel, but i cant find any data on the net about it so i guess it's better to find out by myself.

Milarms have good price on the Federal 69gr and BH 68gr.

May I suggest for the 9" the 64gr PP from Winchester or the 60gr Nosler from Federal. No fragmentation needed...

For the slug, CTVST ha them in stock.

What firearm are you shooting from?

9" barrel and 1/7 twist sounds suspicously like a Swiss Arms CQB (552).

BTW, TSE is sell the Swiss made RUAG 5.56mm ammo.
